Day 4 ….. measure twice cut once

Another humid productive day was had by all !

Our blue house teams were hard at work putting up a tin roof and siding . It takes a lot of cutting and measuring to get just the right fit but it sure looked great by the end of the day .

Our yellow house team started out in the morning putting the floor boards into place while the afternoon was busy with building two of the four walls and attaching siding .

With the heat of the day upon them the only place to find shade was “under” the floor .

One group went to visit the children at the Mother of Mercy Montessori school . They brought art supplies, toys toothbrushes & bubbles!! Everyone had a great time .

Back at the blue house site ( which is near a park and soccer field cleats , shoes and soccer balls were passed out to excited kids who couldn’t wait to go play !

This evening we were honored with a tamale dinner put on by the parish council at Divine Mercy . We had a fun time introducing ourselves and finding out what we had in common. Everyone was so welcoming that we hated to leave but a new day awaits us at 5:30 and the sun does not stop blazing for us Minnesotans

Ps sorry about the duplicate pics yesterday and the miss spelling of our new friend Aspinal, he also makes rosarys to sell so don’t be surprised if you get one for a gift .

Thank you for your continued prayers and we look forward to sharing stories with you all when we return.
